Code of Conduct

Tales of Myr is rated 3/3/3 or M for mature and as a result is intended for adults 18 years and older. While we allow topics such as language, sexual content, and violence to be explored we ask that writers are mindful of their writing partner’s comforts and discomforts. Please employ your best judgment, discretion, and courtesy when interacting on-site and in the Discord server.

• No powerplaying, playing another member's character, including their reactions and actions.
• No metagaming, taking knowledge gained out-of-character and employing it as knowledge known in-game.

Writers are required to use content warnings on any content that is questionably spicy, mature, or sensitive. If you have any concerns something may be considered sensitive it is better to err on the side of caution and label it with a warning to be safe. We understand sometimes things slip through the cracks, or you may not realize something is triggering for another member, but do your best to bear the site’s wellbeing in mind.

While we try to give everyone the freedom to write their hearts desire, we have a number of hard site-wide bans: rape, incest, and sexual acts/grooming of minors. We accept situations of sexual assault in character backstories and applications, however, we do not accept backstories with incest or grooming/manipulation of minors. Any threads depicting any of the listed situations of non-consent will be immediately deleted and the authors given their first and final warning. Any further literature containing these banned themes after receiving their only warning will result in an immediate lifetime ban and deletion of the author's characters.

The rules are subject to change at any time for the benefit of the community. In the event changes are made, the community will be informed of the updated policies.
