The most widespread races in Myr. Humans have no unifying set of characteristics, all being different. They range from evil enough to conquer continents and destroy everyone in their paths to selfless enough to sacrifice their lives for someone they barely know. The physical appearance of humans varies as much as their morale compass does; they come in all colors and creeds.
Essentially humanoid in their physical build, Elves boast an unearthly grace and beauty that enhances their features, along with pointed ears and angled features. They stand taller than most of the other humanoid races.
This race of Elves are immediately recognized by their darker skin tones. Once inhabitants of the Underground, they have since come above ground and have settled with the citizens of Myr and have long since acclimated to living among sunlight. Dark Elves typically have sooty skin tones; ash, purple, grey, etc. Their hair color can vary, but white and black appear to be predominantly common.
Half-elves are a race of people who, as their name suggest, indicates that they are half-elven, half-human. The appearance of half-elves vary, depending on their overall lineage, but standard appearance are ears that are slightly pointed, a taller-than-average height, and sharper, more refined features. This can be either Elves or Dark Elves.
Note: If you wish to have a half-elven character who is NOT half-human, see the Half-Blood section.
Infernals are a humanoid-adjacent race. While appearing mostly human, they do carry a number of distinguishing features passed down from their demonic heritage. Most Infernal have one of, if not all, of the following physical characteristics; horns of various shape, fangs, or a tail of spade nature. They can have cloven feet or standard humanoid legs and feet. Not all Infernals look alike however, and some vary in attributes. Their skin comes in a wide array of colors, from natural tones to pink, red, blue, purple, etc.
An angelic race either born or gifted with divine blood. They are human in appearance, yet can have a halo or feathered wings. Most Celestial are sworn to a Deity that has rewarded them with their divine blood, but some have chosen paths other than what their Divine Fate had in store. There is a saying among Celestials; "A Celestial does not live to old age, as we are destined to die in battle for our God."
The Halfkin are a diverse race of people, bound by an ancient, shared origin. Known for their particularly short statures, adaptability, and keen ingenuity, their physical traits vary widely—from stout and resilient to small and nimble—shaped by divergent bloodlines.
Drakkyn are a humanoid race with slight draconic characteristics. Drakkyn are usually tall, easily standing over six feet in height, and some may have webbed wings like a dragon, horns of different shapes, and even scales that adorn their skin. Some Drakkyn may even have tails, but this can vary depending on bloodline.
Half-bloods are just that; a result in a mixture of races from various lineages that can be found on Myr. Some Half-bloods resemble many different species, and some may not even know what they are. For a time in Myr's long distant history, Half-bloods were looked down upon by their pure blooded peers, but such archaic ways of thinking have long since faded. Half-bloods can have many physical attributes shared by their pure-blooded cousins, such as horns, wings, tails, scales, or absolutely no distinguishing characteristic at all.
If your character is a half blood of two races on Myr, they can have any combination of traits of those two races. The combination of Races must be listed on your character's profile in the Appearance section.
Note: Half-Bloods are of the races found on Myr, and can be any combination of the playable races. If you do not know if your Character idea fits, please ask and Staff will help!
This race are attuned to the very elements themselves. Elementals are humanoid in appearance, yet they carry with them physical attributes that come from their elemental essence. Fire, Earth, Air, and Water elementals are the most common within Myr, yet there have been records written of other more various races. Characteristics that may befall creatures like mermaids, kelpies, selkies, etc. can be classified as Elementals.
