Systems and Mechanics
Across the world of Myr, there are many Systems and Mechanics used for creating an immersive experience.
Questing
Quests serve many purposes within Myr. They can happen to boost morale, to work towards a common goal, or to obtain something that a Character may want. Level progression for Magic and Melee may be quested for, as well as Companions, Immortality, and Enchanted Items.
What can be gained by Questing?
Enchanted Items
Magic/Melee or Magic/Melee Tier Upgrades
Fantasy Companions
Common Companions (although a quest is not required for Common Companions)
Companion Magic
Character Development
There are four main types of Quests that a Character can participate in:
Personal Quests
Sovereign Quests
Divine Quests
Faction Quests
Personal Quests
A personal quest is for a player to pursue in-character development for their desired Character. This is when a Character actively seeks out something that they may want; a companion, a specialty crafted item, or perhaps to break a curse.
Possible Rewards: Common Companions, Enchanted Items, Immortality, Character Development
Requirements: 500 wordcount minimum
Notes: Personal Quests can be achieved with other player characters. If this happens, each Character partaking in the Quest must complete the requirements. Personal Quests are entirely Player driven.
Sovereign Quests
If applicable, a Character may request a Sovereign’s assistance in achieving a goal. Characters may request
any Sovereign for help or guidance.
Possible Rewards: Fantasy Companions, Immortality, Enchanted Items, Magic/Melee or Magic/Melee Tier Upgrades, Companion Magic, Character Development
Requirements: 500 wordcount minimum, an active Sovereign
Notes: Sovereigns
cannot grant Transcendent tier. A Sovereign must be in play to petition a Quest from them. You do not need to be affiliated with a certain Kingdom to ask for a Quest from a Sovereign.
Divine Quests
Divine Quests are just that; missions assigned by the Pantheon of Myr. These Quests can be the most rewarding, yet also the most dangerous.
Possible Rewards: Fantasy Companions, Immortality, Enchanted Items, Magic/Melee or Magic/Melee Tier Upgrades (including Transcendent), Companion Magic, Character Development
Requirements: 500 wordcount minimum
Notes: Your Character does not have to worship the God or Goddess they petition for a Quest. Questing from the Divine
may come with dangerous risks. A Character can pray for a Quest in any location, but the player
must tag the @The Pantheon account in their initial request post, which should also be posted in the #deity-tags channel within our Discord.
Faction Quests
Faction Quests are achieved by Faction Leaders rallying the members of their faction or group to achieve a specific cause. The rewards can vary, but most generally they favor the members of the group or help them to achieve a goal.
Requirements: 500 wordcount minimum from every Character participating in the Faction Quest, Faction Leaders must petition a Sovereign or an entity of the Pantheon to begin this Quest.
Possible Rewards: Varies, but some possibilities are; a ward or enchantment on their headquarters, a low-level boon for Characters affiliated with the faction, a means of communication between the faction members no matter the distance, etc.
Notes: If you are uncertain if your desired reward fits, just ask a member of Staff!

Immortality
Immortality is a rare and coveted boon. This gift halts the aging process, allowing the character to live forever, regardless of their race or origin. Immortality is a double-edged sword, seen as a blessing by some and a curse by others, depending on the life the immortal chooses to lead.
Possible Effects:
Ageless Existence: You no longer age and cannot die of old age. Your body remains in its prime, though scars and marks of past and future battles will remain as reminders of your journey.
Unyielding Life: You can only die through violence, illness, magical destruction, or divine intervention.
Unlocking Immortality:
Immortality is bestowed as a reward for a character’s dedication and triumph. It can be gained by the following:
Divine Quest: Complete a sacred mission from a deity.
Sovereign Quest: Fulfill a sovereign’s quest, earning a place in their favor—and immortality.
Personal Quest: A Quest initiated by the Character itself, and is entirely player driven.

Non-Playable Characters
Within the land of Myr, many stories are being told and explored. While we have dozens of beautifully created Player Characters, sometimes a narrative needs a helping hand. On Myr, we have an account specifically created for Non-Playable Character interactions!
These characters can be:
Associates of characters, good or bad.
A reoccurring NPC that does not need an IC-account.
A member-created individual who maybe runs a tavern, a shop of note, etc.
Can have magic.
NPC's
cannot:
Help with Quests.
Rule a Kingdom.
Grant Quests.
Harm or alter the world of Myr, or power-play any instances without Player consent.
To log into the NPC Account, use the 'NPC Account' name, with the password:
NPCAccount123.
